Myth#1: Obscenity is a matter of opinion.

May people argue that obscenity cannot be defined, that it is a matter of opinion. However, in the Supreme Court case of Miller v. California, a clear, concise definition of obscenity is given. In layperson’s terms, obscenity includes graphic material that contains recurring sexual activity and/or sexual violence that is unmistakably offensive and lacking in serious value.
