Planned Parenthood and Condoms
by Communications

Planned Parenthood pushes condoms on kids, can't imagine why people question it.

"The idea that condoms promote sex is absurdly ridiculous. Young people don't need encouragement,” according to Rick Siegel, vice president of education, training and counseling services at the South Palm Beach Planned Parenthood affiliate (Palm Beach Post). Of course, whether young people need encouragement or not, Planned Parenthood will give it to them anyway. Planned Parenthood has long been opposed to abstinence education. This is evident in all of their material, especially their website directed at teens (Teen Wire) and their outline of sexuality education. By elementary school, the organization asserts, children ought to know a wide variety of things including the normality of sexual fantasies and masturbation. Though claiming to value “age appropriate” education, it remains to be explained how Planned Parenthood’s education model qualifies.

Turning Valentine’s Day into National Condom Day, Planned Parenthood gave out thousands of condoms. The Palm Beach Post reports that in South Palm Beach, “the Planned Parenthood [condom] giveaway actually started on Valentine's eve, Tuesday, when the center holds free after school "Teen Time" health clinics for 12- through 17-year-olds. ‘They were filling their pockets,’ [Boca Raton office manager Kerine] Salmon said" (ibid.).

A good rule of thumb is that if Planned Parenthood endorses it, you probably shouldn’t.
